There are alot of war movies out there, i think the one that most accurately depicts life out here in Iraq is "Groundhogs Day". Its pretty much the same thing over and over. Very redundant, but you get alot of time to straighten out your life back in the states. Its like a year to step back and examine your life like its a piece of artwork and go .. "wow that sucks, i need to fix that, and a quick touch up here and ... what the hell was i thinking there, i gotta cover that up."
For the most part iv saved money to put towards my new jeep, (minus the thousands iv thrown in GE stock and the beer pong set i just bought, World Series of Beer pong 2009 here i come.) Iv also discussed potential business ideas with my co worker McHugh, the best so far have been bus taxis for the drunk, or our own dating service, neither one quite made it off the drawing board, but were still thinking. Right now, our only hope is to bank off the fact that we have played a bajillion hands of black jack and look forward to blowing all of our savings in Vegas when we get home.
As for my MMA training, its going well, in spurts. We spend four days at a place with a phenomenal gym set with giant padded room and complete cardio set, then four days at a place with a "prison gym" . When the videos get posted, you will understand. Luckily for me there are alot of wrestlers, boxers and even some MMA fighters out here, so i have alot of people to train with, as soon as we get the time.
Hopefully soon i will be able to fix my codex problem so i can start editing my video footage from over here and i will put them up on my new web site http://www.riotboyer.com/ (i would like to thank Sherma Taylor for all of her hard work on that) .
